Crestmead 4132

Urban subdivisions began in Crestmead around the 1970’s. Prior to this the area was mainly used for grazing and timber getting. Despite the Beaudesert Shire initially calling the area Hubner, Crestmead was eventually gazetted in 1987.
Steeped in history Crestmead is now a thriving residential and commercial area with a significant Industrial Area in Crestmead Park. It offers plenty of opportunities and is a high investment area. This is reflected in the Median age group of 27 from the 2011 Census and a population of 11,210.

Schooling facilities are provided with a State School and the private St Francis Catholic College which provides both primary and secondary education. It also boasts the Crestmead Community Centre as well as the Numbellie Karulboo Centre located on the St Francis school grounds. This means “everybody together”.

Shopping facilities consist of the Kensington Fair Shopping Centre and is further serviced with the new Fifth Ave Shopping Complex as well as Marsden Park. There is extensive public transport and rail close by at Loganlea, Woodridge and Trinder Park.

Crestmead has seen extensive expansion over the last decade with some newer areas of development within the suburb and more particularly now around the area.
